Cold Rolled Strip

Cold rolling is carried out on up-to-date mills fitted with automatic gauge controls.

The annealing process, carefully adjusted and carried out in modern furnaces, imparts uniformity and consistency, resulting in superior structural and surface characteristics.

This same level of care continues through to slitting methods which produce strip with burr-free edges.

Applications which use J B & S Lees cold rolled strip include knife blades, hacksaw blades, spring fastenings and components and precision pressed, drawn and formed parts for automobiles, domestic appliances and electrical equipment.
